Bolling Road, Ben Rhydding, Ilkley
Complete redevelopment of a site formerly with little architectural merit, to create three new town houses.
This high quality development of three new 3-storey town houses, constructed in high quality materials of natural stone and slate, succeeds in enhancing the nature of the local environment whilst also respecting the strict requirements of Ilkley’s Conservation Area.
The development is orientated in such a way as to allow the majority of existing trees within the site to be retained and the mature site boundary treatment to substantially remain. Retaining a mature oak tree was an essential part of the scheme therefore vehicular access is from the rear of the site, allowing the boundary treatment to the frontage of the properties to be enhanced.
A partially glazed roof on the south elevation of the ground floor, allows plenty of natural light giving a feeling of light and airy, modern spacious living.
